ARFID Meal Planner is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional, psychological, or therapeutic advice. It is a personal organisation and tracking tool to help families record safe foods, plan meals, and notice patterns. Nothing in the app is a substitute for professional care.
Always consult a professional
Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID) is a serious condition that can affect growth, nutrition, and wellbeing. Decisions about your child's diet, nutrition, weight, exposures, or treatment should always be made with a qualified professional — such as your doctor, paediatrician, registered dietitian, or feeding therapist. Never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read or recorded in this app.
Nutrition figures are estimates
Calorie and nutrient values shown in the app are estimates. Some are looked up from Open Food Facts, a community database that may be incomplete or inaccurate, and others are rough guesses based on a food's name and a typical serving size. Do not rely on them for clinical decisions, medical nutrition therapy, or managing allergies or medical conditions. Always check product packaging and your clinician's guidance.
Allergies and intolerances
The app does not detect or warn about allergens. If your child has food allergies or intolerances, verify every ingredient yourself and follow your medical team's instructions.
Emergencies
If you are worried about your child's immediate health or safety — for example signs of choking, severe dehydration, rapid weight loss, or a medical or mental-health crisis — contact your local emergency services or medical provider right away. This app is not for emergencies.
Your responsibility
You are responsible for how you use the information in this app. By using ARFID Meal Planner you acknowledge that you understand and accept this disclaimer.
