Terms of Use
Last updated: 4 June 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and ARFID Meal Planner ("the app", "we", "us"). By using the app you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
What the app is
ARFID Meal Planner is a personal tool to help parents and caregivers track foods, plan meals, and notice patterns for a child with Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder. It is an organisational aid only — it is not a medical device and does not provide medical, nutritional, or therapeutic advice. Please read our Medical Disclaimer.
Who can use it
You must be an adult (at least 18, or the age of majority where you live) and capable of entering into this agreement. You are responsible for any information you enter, including information about a child in your care, and for keeping your account and any household code secure.
Acceptable use
- Use the app only for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose.
- Don't use it to store data about people without the right to do so.
- Don't attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the app or its backend.
- Don't misuse household codes or attempt to access households you weren't invited to.
Your data and backups
You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important information (you can export a backup file in Settings). While we use a reputable cloud provider, we can't guarantee that data will never be lost, and you agree we are not liable for any loss of data.
Free and Pro features
The core app is free to use. Some features may be offered as "Pro." Pricing, availability, and the way Pro is unlocked may change over time. Any optional contributions (for example "buy me a coffee") are voluntary and non-refundable unless required by law.
Third-party services
The app relies on third-party services (including Supabase for accounts and storage, Resend for email, Vercel for hosting and analytics, and Open Food Facts for food lookups). Their availability and behaviour are outside our control, and your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We don't warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any nutrition or other figures are accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any health, dietary, or other decisions made in reliance on the app. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot legally be limited.
Changes and termination
We may update, change, or discontinue the app or these terms at any time. We'll update the "last updated" date above. You may stop using the app and delete your data at any time.
